Undergraduate Research Assistant

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Supervisor: Maria Angelica Rincon-Benavides

About Me:

I am a second-year honors biomedical engineering student at The Ohio State University from Dayton, Ohio. I joined the lab in May 2023 and received the CREATES Fellowship from The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute which provided funding for my research during summer 2023. I was trained by and currently conduct research with Maria Angelica Rincon-Benavides. I am focused on using engineered extracellular vesicles loaded with NF1 nucleic acids as a gene therapeutic for neurofibromatosis type 1. I hope to attend graduate school after I finish my undergraduate degree and continue to work with gene therapies.
